Many women want to
know if men are capable of love. This is a much debated subject because
biologically men are often considered hard wired to mate with any and
everything. Men often struggle with emotion. Men often take longer to
feel depths of emotion, which is why many people say that men do not
cry. So, the question remains, are men capable of love? Or are they
limited to lust and baser emotions? While this is something that can
inspire philosophical debate, the simple answer is YES, men are capable
of love. Whether or not they act on it is questionable. The following
are some things to consider when it comes to answering the question of
whether or not men are capable of love:
Men show and receive love in different
ways than women. Many women do not think that their men are capable of
love because they do not express it the way a woman wants to have it
expressed to them. Men are not as verbal as women, they tend to speak
for different reasons. Men are more prone to showing love through
physical affection, and through consistency. So, your man my not be
telling you that you look lovely, or that the dinner you worked so hard
to fix him tastes good, but that does not mean he doesn't love you, or
is incapable of love.
Men are more likely to act on lust, but that doesn't mean their emotions can't deepen and develop further. A man is always going to be more concerned with looks than personality when they first meet a woman. They are visual beings, and their attraction to someone is just that, visual. However, this does not mean that they can't show love later. Men are not ones to play out the role of the prince charming who falls in love at first sight. If they do, it is with someone's appearance. However, given some time, they are more than able to develop deeper attractions where their lust for the person subsides, and their appreciation of their characteristics, personality, and attributes, takes over, leading to love.
Men are capable of love, and in some cases more so than women. Women often misunderstand men, and this is not surprising as men and women communicate differently. This divergence in communication leads to both genders questioning the acts, intentions, and feelings of the other. Either way, we all have the same feelings, emotions, etc. we just choose to show and communicate them differently.
If you are worried that your man is not capable of love, then chances are you are not the right woman for him. When the subject to love is correct, love comes easily. This is not meant to offend, but think of it this way, there are plenty of guys out there that you would never love.
